- If not, do you need help setting up the computer? (If yes, we'll have a technician contact them later. Don't help now.)

How many hours per day does {student} use the computer? 0, <1, 1, 2, 3, >3
What does {student} use the computer for the most? papers, games, surf web, other?
Do you have internet access?
- If so, what kind? Dial-up, DSL, cablemodem, other?
- How much does {student} use the internet?
Do any of {student}'s siblings use the computer?
Do you as parent/guardian use the computer?
ByteWorks is expanding its course offerings, including workshops in programming, digital photography, and PC maintenance, among others. Would you be interested in knowing more about these courses, and if so, what would be the best way to contact you: phone, e-mail, mail, poster at ByteWorks, other?

Requst to talk to parent/guardian
- “May I please speak to the parent or guardian of {student's name}?”
- If not home, ask when is a good time to reach them.
To parent/guardian, introduce yourself (if necessary) and ask them if they can answer a few questions.
- “We are calling to follow up on {student's name}'s progress. Do you have 5 minutes to help us with some questions?”
Ask the questions.
Thank them for their time.
