====== Adult Earn A Computer Program ======

The Adult Earn-A-Computer program awards a computer to adults who complete a series of computer-related classes.
    * The Adult Earn-A-Computer program accepts adults and youth who are too old for the children's Earn-a-Computer program.
    * Students of any income level or geographic location are qualified.
    * Registration for the program is $60.

To earn a computer, the student must attend a series of seven classes.  Each class is two hours long.  An additional make-up class is held the week after the last class.  The classes cover the following topics: 
  - Introduction
    * Understanding the Inside of a Computer
    * Using the Computer
      * [[Using the Keyboard|Keyboard]]
      * [[Using the Mouse]]
  - Spreadsheets [[Spreadsheet Class]], using either:
    * Microsoft Excel or
    * OpenOffice Calc, a spreadsheet program which is compatible with Microsoft Excel.
  - Word Processing, using either 
    * Microsoft Word or
    * [[OpenOffice Writer]], a word-processing program which is compatible with Microsoft Word.
  - Presentations, using either:
    * Microsoft Powerpoint or
    * [[OpenOffice Impress]], a presentation/Powerpoint application also compatible with Microsoft PowerPoint.
  - Microsoft Internet Explorer and Internet Security
  - Email
  - Computer Set-Up

After successful completion of the program, adult students receive a complete computer system with a Microsoft operating system.
