Web Page Design

This page is a tip sheet for workshop projects that involve creating web pages.

Keep It Simple

Web pages should bring information to people. Too often, web sites are cluttered, with lots of flashing buttons, advertisements and tons of links. It's like schizophrenia. A good web page should be organized, and get visitors directly to the information they're looking for.

The following examples are the opinion of the author, and have no reflection on Bworks.org.

Personal Web Pages

Your web page should be very simple, with a few links, or a links to related items.

  • Your resume
  • Your interests (separate page)
  • Your favorite links (separate page)
  • Your blog

Design Tips

  • Only include finished works (no “Under Construction” pages)
  • Keep your website updated!
  • Don't start something you can't finish
